About Maribeth Fura

Twelve Twenty One Design is led by owner and principal designer Mary Elizabeth (Maribeth) Fura. After spending years renovating and curating her own home (and being asked repeatedly by friends and family for design services), Maribeth started Twelve Twenty One Design with the goal of bringing quality, authentic, modern designs to the Happy Valley area. Maribeth understands that great taste is only part of the equation when it comes to a beautiful home; she values the functionality of the space, timelessness and quality of materials, and excellence of the design experience to arrive at a home that truly captures her clients’ vision and needs.

Before starting Twelve Twenty One Design, Maribeth spent 15 years in the corporate world. She brings her business sense, organization, and thoughtful project management to her design process, creating systems that ensure clients get high touch customer service and exceptional results.

Maribeth resides with her husband Scott, their three young children, and their dog Franklin in Boalsburg, PA. When she’s not working with her awesome clients, you can find her exploring the Happy Valley area - or on her back deck reading a great book.

The story behind the name “Twelve Twenty One”

On December 21st (12-21), Maribeth and Scott Fura closed on their first home. About 5 minutes later, they started the process of renovating and restoring their 1960s ranch. After years of remodeling their own home and helping their friends and family with remodeling and design projects, Maribeth started Twelve Twenty One Design with the intention to help make the process of renovating and home design less stressful and more fun.
